Job summary

Pridgeon & Clay Inc is seeking a Third Shift Automatic Press Operator to work four 10-hour nights (Mon night–Fri morning, 8:30pm–6:30am) in Grand Rapids, MI. A $2,500 sign-on bonus and a $1.00/hr shift differential are offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Position requires setup and operation of automatic presses, lean manufacturing participation, and 5S compliance. Candidates should have at least nine months of press experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Nine months minimum experience setting up and operating automatic presses and troubleshooting dies.
• Proven mechanical inclination, computer literacy and math aptitude.
• Willingness to attend off-site training and to train on any shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate the automatic presses following instructions and control plans.
• Set up presses, feeders and dies, and prepare for changeovers.
• Perform quality checks with calipers and micrometers per the control plan.
• Assist in lean, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
