Genuine Parts Company (NAPA) is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily retail operations, supervise staff, and maintain customer-facing sales responsibilities. This role partners with the Store Manager to ensure inventory health, scheduling, and store performance while upholding customer service excellence.

Overtime and keyholder responsibilities may be required to support store continuity and coverage. The position offers a developmental path toward Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have prior leadership experience in retail or automotive service environments.
• Proven ability to manage inventory, scheduling, and store operations.
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to train and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels (in-store, phone, and external dealer/wholesale calls).
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines (security, cash reconciliation, end-of-day reporting, facility readiness).
• Handle or support administrative tasks: scheduling input, compliance documentation, performance tracking/reporting, and basic P&L awareness items.
• Monitor store metrics and drive improvements in sales, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
