Genuine Parts Company in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead our NAPA retail store operations, sales initiatives, and customer service efforts. You will support the Store Manager across all store functions while maintaining hands-on customer-facing sales responsibilities.

This role provides a developmental pathway to becoming a Store Manager, with potential overtime and keyholder responsibilities for opening and closing the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in the automotive after-market service industry or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience required.
• Passion for delivering customer care and building long term relationships.
• Thrive in a fast paced, complex environment.
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs in some situations.
• Background in automotive, heavy equipment, or dealership is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines (security, cash reconciliation, reporting).
• Handle or support administrative tasks: scheduling, compliance docs, performance tracking.
• Monitor core store metrics and analyze trends to improve outcomes.
• Provide leadership, training and performance management for store functions.
• Support talent development and coaching for advancement.
• Drive safety, asset protection and continuous improvement.
