Genuine Parts Company, the owner of the NAPA network, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations and sales with a strong emphasis on customer service. The role supports the Store Manager across all store functions while maintaining active customer-facing sales responsibilities and ensuring operational standards.

This developmental path prepares you to become a Store Manager within a fast-paced automotive retail environment, with overtime and keyholder responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience in a retail or service environment.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Strong customer care focus and relationship-building.
• Knowledge of cataloging or inventory systems preferred.
• ASE certifications a plus, NAPA Know How is valued.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels (in-store, phone, and external dealer/wholesale calls).
• Execute or oversee opening and closing routines (security, cash reconciliation, end-of-day reporting, facility readiness).
• Provide coaching, training and performance management for store functions.
• Drive adherence to safety, asset protection, operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
