O'Reilly Auto Parts in Shelbyville, TN is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service and support to both retail and installer customers. You will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, handle cash transactions, and resolve issues while following company policies.

The role involves stock and image updates, basic in-store services, and occasional deliveries. We value ASE certification and bilingual abilities to better assist a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification is desirable.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Support store management and installer service specialists.
• Answer phones and look up parts, quote prices, and offer related items.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions securely.
• Process exchanges/returns per policy and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with stock, planogram updates, and back-room tasks.
• Perform in-store services (where allowed) such as battery tests and wiper installations.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
