Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring for a store associate position in Virginia Beach. You will greet customers, assist with parts selection, and provide excellent service while handling phone inquiries and in-store transactions.

The role includes daily stock, returns processing, and basic in-store services. Multitasking and strong customer focus are essential; bilingual abilities are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs, i.e. Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
• Greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone, look up parts and quote prices, and offer Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make change, process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per policies; resolve customer complaints amicably.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves, etc.
• Perform daily operational tasks including stock counts and format returns to distribution center.
• Operate brake lathe and store test equipment after training; perform in-store services (wipers, batteries, etc.).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed; meet driving eligibility requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
