Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Vernon, CT is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high-level service to retail and installer customers and support store management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and you will assist professional customers as needed.

You will promote company programs, handle transactions accurately, assist with stock, returns, and periodic inventory tasks, and support in-store services when required. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Desirable: Familiar with automotive parts, Weatherly Index System, and automotive sales or service.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs, e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, and Rock the Lot.
• Greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist in selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per company policies.
• Answer store calls, lookup parts and provide quotes, and suggest related items and the Low-Price Guarantee.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, and inventory tasks.
• Prepare returns to distribution center and assist with monthly stock adjustments and cycle counts.
• Perform in-store services such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and replacing headlight capsules where allowed by law.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
