O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist in New Bedford, MA to provide high-level service to retail and installer customers and support store management with daily tasks. The role emphasizes a friendly customer experience, accurate part lookups, pricing, and sales of related items.

The position requires engaging customers on the floor and over the phone, handling cash transactions, and maintaining store presentation and stock through daily tasks and training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Must provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist retail/walk-in customers in choosing merchandise.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers.
• Handle phone inquiries, lookup parts, quote prices, and promote related items.
• Maintain cash drawer, process payments, and handle exchanges/returns per policy.
• Perform daily store operations including stock updates and image maker/planogram tasks.
• Conduct in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries) as trained.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed.
