Job summary

Caliber Collision in South San Diego is seeking an Auto Painter Helper to assist the Auto Painter in prepping vehicles for paint. You will sand and buff as needed and help maintain the paint booth and workspace to support efficient workflows.

Requirements include 1+ year of paint operations experience in a collision center, ability to lift heavy objects, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive hourly pay with overtime eligibility and benefits from day one are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform sustained physical activity such as bending, kneeling, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Able to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Auto Painter to prepare vehicles for painting.
• Perform sanding and buffing as part of prep work.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and workspace.
• Assist in repairing vehicles per Caliber and OEM standards using shop equipment.
