Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, repair and maintain engines and motor-powered equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical defects.
• Repair auxiliary vehicle systems: brakes, transmissions, fuel, hydraulics.
• Align wheels, repair steering, brakes and clutches.
• Convey orders to other journeymen as directed.
• Supervise machinist helpers and other personnel.
• Train assigned staff in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Perform minor auto body repairs.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of parts and materials.
• Operate and test motor vehicles and equipment.
