Qualifications

• Five years of full-time auto mechanic experience.
• Or 2.5 years plus approved trade school/college education to total five years.
• Must hold NY Class B CDL or NY Driver License with Learner's Permit; CDL must be obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles powered by gasoline or diesel engines.
• Diagnose and repair engine mechanical and electrical systems.
• Inspect and repair brakes, steering, and suspension.
• Perform NYS vehicle inspections and respond to road calls.
• Occasionally perform field repairs such as tire and battery changes.
• Adhere to shift changes, maintain a clean workstation, and follow supervisor directions.
