Job summary

Qualifications

  • New York CDL Class B license or valid NY license; CDL must be maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, and fuel systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical defects and perform field repairs to restore vehicle power.
  • Train machinist helpers and automotive service workers as directed.
  • Prepare reports and orders, and maintain inventories of supplies and materials.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment as required for assigned duties.
