Job summary

Safelite in Wilmington, NC seeks an entry-level Technician Trainee who will learn to repair and replace auto glass and recalibrate safety systems. You will receive hands-on and classroom training and work toward Safelite certification, supporting customers with a positive attitude and high-quality work.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and maneuver materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb regularly and 50 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to learn Safelite techniques and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostics.
• Provide additional services and products to customers.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Safely operate company vehicles, tools and chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
