Job summary

Dewey Dodge, a Ken Garff Automotive Group company, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the accounting team with processing daily operational transactions in the Centralized Accounting Office in Clive, IA.

This role offers a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and a path to grow within a respected automotive group. You will assist with ledgers, AP/AR, and vehicle-related financial processes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years accounting experience
• High school diploma or associates degree in accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software
• Strong numeracy, analytical, and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting entries and reconcile the general ledger
• Process check payments and ACH transactions promptly
• Research and process cancellations and chargebacks
• Reconcile and audit product cancellation schedules
• Post vehicle deals with related financial products and schedules
• Process invoices and reconcile financial schedules
• Handle other vehicle-related invoices from manufacturers
• Maintain an organized processing system
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
• Occasional filing and general administrative tasks
