Job summary

Dewey Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the centralized accounting team in Ankeny, IA. The role focuses on daily accounting entries, reconciliations, and processing vehicle-related financial transactions.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of accounting experience, dealership exposure, and strong Excel and office software skills. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; benefits include PTO, 401k with match, and comprehensive insurance options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Dealership accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and dealership software; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting entries and reconcile general ledger.
• Process check payments and ACH transactions.
• Research and process cancellations & chargebacks.
• Reconcile & audit product cancellation schedules.
• Post vehicle deals with related financial products and schedules.
• Process invoices and reconcile schedules for financial products.
• Handle other vehicle-related invoices from manufacturers.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
• Maintain organized processing system; perform filing as needed.
