Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking an Auto Physical Damage Adjuster - Service Claims in Itasca, IL. This full-time exempt role offers a hybrid schedule (two days in the office) with a sign-on bonus of $2,500.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload, investigating claims, evaluating damages, and negotiating settlements with insureds and third parties. The role requires 3–4 years of Auto claim-handling experience, an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred), and proficiency in MS Office.

Formación

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
• Typically 3–4 years of relevant Auto claim-handling experience.
• Guidewire experience is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office, internet navigation and basic software systems.
• Knowledge of insurance products, processes, and relevant laws.
• Ability to negotiate independently within authority and communicate clearly.
• Collaborate with team and maintain organizational efficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of moderately complex service claims from intake through resolution.
• Conduct investigations, assess liability, and evaluate damages per procedures.
• Engage underwriting, legal, and stakeholders for thorough investigation and evaluation.
• Set reserves and authorize payments within authority; maintain documentation.
• Mentor entry-level adjusters and share best practices learned through training.
