Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Claims Manager to join our Risk Management team in the United States. You will oversee and manage all aspects of insurance claims in coordination with the third-party administrator and other vendors.

You will report to the Director, Risk Management and handle first and third party claims submissions, assess damages/reserves, negotiate settlements, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Insurance.
• At least five years’ experience in claims management within the automotive industry; Liability and first-party Property preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and leverage data.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and familiarity with Origami claim management systems.

Responsibilities

• Claims Processing: End-to-end management in collaboration with the third-party administrator.
• Damage Assessment: Evaluate vehicle damage for repair or replacement actions.
• Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with TPA and Legal Department.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all claims and communications.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to insurance regulations and standards.
• Customer Communication: Provide updates to stakeholders throughout the process.
• Data Analysis: Identify trends and cost-saving opportunities in claims data.
• Reporting: Prepare regular claims performance reports for management.
