Job summary

The Boyd Group in NC Candler is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide meticulous vehicle repairs and exceptional customer experiences, restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while supporting our KPI targets and upholding the Brand Ambassador promise.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, using cutting tools, bending and realigning chassis, replacing parts, welding, and painting to specification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work necessary and prepare cost estimates for customers using various tools.
• Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage and repair with filler resins.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld and reattach parts, repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles for quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
