Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician at our Pelham, AL location to perform meticulous vehicle repairs and restore pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, weld, repaint, and ensure quality while meeting KPI targets.

In this role you will plan repairs, prepare estimates, and work with the team to deliver fast, high-quality service. A high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or an apprenticeship, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship is required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with other repairers in the shop.
• Solid understanding of repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles per spec.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines.
