Gerber Collision & Glass in Fond du Lac, WI offers an Auto Body Technician role focused on meticulous vehicle repair and delivering a superior customer experience. You will work closely with a team to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition while meeting KPIs and maintaining brand standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or an apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Understanding of repair methods and tools used in auto body work.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
