Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a noisy, odorous environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and align chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove and replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair or replace glass and interior components.
• Weld or fit parts, apply paint per factory specs, and ensure work orders are completed within labor guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality and compliance.
