Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Understanding of repair methods and tools used in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles with attention to speed, quality, and customer excellence.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass.
• Weld and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalents.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure work order requirements are met.
