Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver expert vehicle repairs and an exceptional customer experience. You will assess, disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, contributing to our speed, quality, and customer excellence goals.

You will work with a team to meet KPIs, uphold safety standards, and act as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group while restoring cars to pre-accident condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in auto body repair; ability to read job orders.
• Ability to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is executed consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Repair vehicle sections using cutting guns, plasma cutters, and other tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis/frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair for quality and accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
