Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician in the United States. You will plan repairs, estimate costs, and meticulously repair vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble bodies, realign chassis, replace parts, weld, and repaint to factory specs, while ensuring quality and efficiency aligned with KPIs. This role requires stamina in a noisy shop and adherence to safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Technical school or apprenticeship in auto body repair strongly preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in a shop and follow procedures.
• Solid understanding of body repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections.
• Hammer out dents, realign chassis, and replace damaged parts.
• Weld, fit, and paint parts to factory specs; inspect work for quality.
• Complete work orders within labor-time guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.
