Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an outstanding customer experience through meticulous vehicle assessment and quality repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality and customer excellence across the team.

You will read job orders, plan repairs, and use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. Labor targets and safety are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replaces damaged sections and glass as needed.
• Welds and paints vehicles with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
