Job summary

Classic Collision in Wasilla, AK seeks an experienced Auto Collision Technician to disassemble and repair vehicles to industry standards. You will work closely with Estimators to prepare 100% repair plans and ensure all repairs are completed efficiently.

Required: 2–3 years of collision repair experience, a valid driver's license, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service as part of a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Integrity and accountability at every level and interaction.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist collision estimators in assessing damage and prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to access damaged area and store parts.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents, welding parts, align gaps, and reassemble after painting.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with SOPs and safety guidelines.
