Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an automotive collision repair technician in Alabama to join a team focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will perform disassembly, repair planning, welding, and reassembly, ensuring repairs meet industry standards.

A 18+ age requirement and a 2–3 year collision repair background are preferred, with a valid driver’s license required. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, and thorough inspections, including test drives to confirm

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged area; store parts securely.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling; weld and reassemble after parts are painted.
• Operate hand and power tools such as welders and sanders.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
