Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experiences through meticulous repair and inspection of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. You will work with a team to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and how to use the required tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates with appropriate tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers for dents when feasible.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields.
• Repair interior parts as needed and prepare for painting.
• Weld or attach parts and repaint to factory or agreed specifications.
• Complete work orders within time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
