Qualifications
- Experience operating a frame machine.
- Certification in body repair preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
- I-CAR welding certification.
- Ability to supervise repair personnel.
Responsibilities
- Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
- Communicates repair status with team.
- Performs quality repairs with on-time focus.
- Decides on repair vs. replace based on safety, cost, cycle time.
- Removes upholstery and components to access areas.
- Participates in safety meetings.
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces.
- Directs an apprentice on tasks when needed.
