Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled collision repair technician to examine damaged vehicles and plan efficient repairs. You will work closely with team members to communicate repair status and ensure timely, high-quality results.

Responsibilities include supervising apprentices, applying frame machine and body repair techniques, and deciding between repair or replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time. Strong adherence to safety meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with frame machine and body repair procedures.
• I-CAR welding certification preferred.
• Ability to supervise apprentices and repair staff.
• Knowledge of manufacturer repair processes.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery and interior components to access areas.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds and sands repaired surfaces with power/hand tools.
• Directs an apprentice and explains procedures as needed.
