Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence as a Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

You will plan repairs, prepare estimates, work with body shop tools, and collaborate with teammates to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
Able to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers. Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
Hammer dents and apply filler resins as needed when other methods fail.
Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
Replace damaged sections of vehicles and glass as needed; repair interior parts.
Weld and fit parts, then repaint to factory specs or equivalents.
Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
