Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to precisely assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, ensuring speed, quality and exceptional customer experience.

You will work with team members to meet KPIs, using tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, welders, and paints while adhering to safety standards and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed; interior parts too.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
