Job summary

Classic Collision in the Atlanta area is seeking a skilled Collision Repair Technician. You will disassemble vehicles, assess damage, plan repairs, and restore panels to factory standards using welding and body shop tools. You will ensure safety and quality while helping minimize repair time.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• I-CAR/ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedure according to work order.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged area.
• Mend damaged body with hammering, welding and replacement parts; ensure gaps and fits meet industry standards.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering, cutting torch, etc.).
• File, grind and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts and test drive for safety/quality compliance.
• Comply with all SOPs, safety rules and guidelines.
