Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Experience with auto body repair tools preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, then repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines and inspect cars after repair.
