Job summary

Gettel is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to manufacturer specifications using proper techniques and equipment. You will repair, replace, and assemble body parts, measure dimensions, and support a smooth workflow in a high-quality shop environment.

The role requires reading and interpreting repair estimates, strong knowledge of unibody and body-on-frame vehicles, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and estimate information.
• Working knowledge of repairing damaged vehicle body parts, unibody vehicles and body over frame vehicles.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and other machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Make proper repairs to meet company standards and restore frames to specifications.
• Remove/replace sheet metal, glass and cosmetic parts as needed.
• Straighten/repair damaged panels and parts as required.
• Bench vehicles and conduct pulls as necessary.
• Measure and document vehicle dimensions when required.
• Maintain corrosion protection on vehicles.
• Assist with smooth workflow through the shop.
• Keep work area clean and safe; report status to Estimator/Writer and Production Manager.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to ensure correct parts are ordered and delivered.
