Qualifications

• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification or equivalent.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicles and plans repair process.
• Communicates repair status with teammates.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decides between repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, cycle time.
• Accesses vehicle areas by removing upholstery and trim as needed.
• Attends safety meetings and adheres to safety protocols.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with tools.
• Directs an apprentice or junior staff on tasks when needed.
• Collaborates to ensure overall workflow efficiency.
