Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking an experienced collision repair technician to examine damaged vehicles, plan repairs, and supervise apprentices. You will perform quality repairs, assess whether to repair or replace components, and collaborate with team members to maintain on-time delivery.

The role requires frame machine operation, body repair certification, and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes. I-CAR welding certification and background checks are also expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certified.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicle and plan repair process.
• Communicate with others on vehicle repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Decide on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
• Participate in all required safety meetings.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
• Direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks and explain procedures to assistant.
