Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, upholding speed, quality and customer excellence as part of our brand promise.

You will work with a team to meet KPIs, plan repairs, estimate costs, and ensure all work is executed correctly. This role demands physical capability and adherence to safety in a busy collision repair

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Strong ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare customer cost estimates using tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; prep and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
