Qualifications

• 2–3 years of collision repair experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Customer-focused attitude with ability to work in a team.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Integrity, accountability and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged areas; store parts properly.
• Mend damaged body by hammering, filling, welding and reassembling after parts are painted.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, sanders, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and comply with SOPs and safety guidelines.
