Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking a skilled collision repair technician to join our South Carolina team. You will disassemble and assess vehicles, plan repairs, and execute repairs with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• I-CAR or ASE certifications preferred.
• 2–3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Customer-focused attitude with ability to work in a team.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% repair plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedures according to the work order.
• Remove upholstery, electrical components, and other parts to access damaged areas as needed; store parts safely.
• Repair or replace damaged panels; ensure gaps and fits meet standards; reassemble after painting.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, cutting torch, sander, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before handing off to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other duties and comply with procedures and safety guidelines.
