Blue Bird Bus Sales of Virginia - Auto Body Technician Positions

Blue Bird Bus Sales of Virginia is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and contribute to our growing business. We are currently hiring for two positions: in-shop technician and mobile technician, with hourly rates based on experience. Position Overview:

• The Auto Body Technician will repair metal, plastic, and fiberglass vehicle parts.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning necessary repairs
• Using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers
• Hemming dents and applying filler resins
• Realigning chassis and frames
• Replacing damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts
• Repairing or replacing glass, windshields, and interior parts
• Welding and fitting parts into place
• Preparing and painting vehicles according to factory specifications
• Inspecting vehicles post-repair to ensure quality

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret job orders
• Capability to work independently or with a team
• Understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures
• Proficiency in using repair tools

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational or technical training or apprenticeship preferred
• Three years of related experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Additional Requirements:

• Own general hand tools
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
