Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding speed, quality and customer excellence as a Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

You will plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and procedures.
• Understanding how to use trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers. Use tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; apply filler resin when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections; repair glass, windshields, and interior parts.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
