Puget Collision in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an Auto Body Collision Repair Technician to restore vehicles with light to heavy damage. You will assess exterior damage, select parts per OE/DRP, and ensure door, hood, and frame alignments meet manufacturer specs.

You will also supervise apprentices and maintain a clean, safe work environment. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, welding skills, and the ability to read and follow written instructions.

Formación

• I-CAR Gold Class and ASE certifications a plus.
• Complete understanding of all facets of light to heavy automobile collision repair.
• Knowledgeable in safety guidelines for repair.
• Skilled welder with the ability to remove and refit welded panels as well as bolt-on items in crash repair.
• Ability to read, understand, and perform written instructions accurately and work independently or with others.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure repairs adhere to OE standards, DRP part choices, and ADAS requirements for calibrations and scanning, verifying quality and safety.
• Complete disassembly of vehicles
• Refit new parts such as bumpers, fenders, grills, moldings, and other bolt-on and welded items
• Restore repaired areas to original manufacturer specifications, including alignments and measurements
• Check parts for accuracy before starting repairs and notify Estimator of discrepancies
• Work efficiently to meet target delivery dates
• Take responsibility for all parts assigned to your jobs
• Protect interior and exterior non-repair areas from damage
• Read RO line items and visually inspect repairs for completeness
• Provide guidance to apprentices to foster development
