Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled Collision Repair Technician to join our expansive MSO network. You will examine damaged vehicles, plan repairs, and communicate status while performing quality repairs with safety and cost in mind.

The role includes supervising an apprentice when needed and using frame machines; I-CAR welding certification is preferred. We offer comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401k with match and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a frame machine.
• Body repair certification preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicle and plan repair process.
• Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Make decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
• Participate in all required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed.
