Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner, Auto | Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto and commercial transportation claims. You will review coverage, investigate liability, and evaluate damages to achieve timely resolutions aligned with client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have five years of claims management experience, a strong understanding of auto policies, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverage, and laws.
• Strong oral and written communication, including presentations.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury, ensuring files are properly documented and coded.
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
• Develops action plans to meet state contact deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; manages salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports quality programs.
