Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Bodily Injury, to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and commercial transport claims. You’ll review coverage, investigate liability, assess damages, and determine settlement within client requirements.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverage, principles and laws.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business.
• Strong communication skills; PC literate and able to work in a team environment.
• Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury and ensures files are properly documented.
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters for investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carrier(s).
• Develops action plans to meet deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; handles salvage disposition.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
