Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a per diem Substitute Special Education Teacher for the Elementary Autistic Support program in Neshaminy School District. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction, supporting students with autism, and coordinating with the school team.

You will implement district-approved lesson plans, adapt activities for individual needs, and monitor progress toward IEP goals in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education required or actively pursuing
• Master’s degree in Special Education preferred
• PA Special Education Teacher certification (full or substitute) required or eligible
• Experience with IEPs and crisis intervention is preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructional support in an Autistic Support classroom.
• Implement and adapt lesson plans for students with autism.
• Monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and staff to ensure effective service delivery.
• Maintain district procedures and documentation.
