Maxim Healthcare Services in Napa, CA is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will deliver one-to-one behavioral interventions and help with daily activities while collecting data according to the Behavior Support Plan.

Under supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the role offers flexible scheduling (PT and FT) with opportunities for continuing education and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• At least 1 year experience with individuals who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification for Adult & Children (or willing to obtain).
• TB test updated within past 90 days (or willing to obtain).
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-care, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, feeding, dressing and mobility as needed.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals per the Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities

• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children (or willing to get)
• Updated TB test within past 90 days (or willing to get)
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
