Job summary

QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic Certified Teacher's Assistants in New York to provide direct instructional services under the supervision of a NYS certified teacher. The role focuses on one-on-one or small group instruction and supports students’ recreation, socialization, and communication through behavior analytic teaching procedures.

Responsibilities include guiding students, collecting data on performance, and implementing IEPs and behavior plans under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 3 letters of recommendation required upon hire for preschool candidates.
• 1-2 years’ work experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Guiding and assisting students in various instruction settings and class routines.
• Collecting data documenting student performance.
• Under teacher direction, implementing student's IEPs and Behavior Intervention plans when applicable.
