Job summary

QSAC Education in Whitestone, NY is seeking a dedicated Teacher's Aide to support students on the autism spectrum aged 5–21. The role focuses on small group instruction under a NYS-certified teacher, aiding recreation, communication, and motor skills through behavior analytic methods.

Starting rate is $17.00 USD hourly or higher, with potential to progress to $21.00 hourly after obtaining TA-1 Certification; the school will guide you through certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background/fingerprint clearance required.
• Ability to run and assist lifting up to 20 lb.
• Strong communication with individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support to students in small groups.
• Assist classroom teacher and maintain student engagement.
• Ensure health, safety and welfare of individuals.
• Maintain student safety and confidentiality.
• Complete required documentation and certifications as needed.
• Attend work regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
